Founded as Kavali College, affiliated to Sri Venkateswara University. Renamed Jawahar Bharati on 14 November 1965 by Dr. Zakir Hussain. Known for weekly seminars, tutorials, science clubs, and the Lunar Society. UGC autonomous status granted in 1989. NAAC certified.
Programmes span arts, sciences, and commerce with a living tradition of cultural festivals and extension work.
